For longer documents that might not be an issue as you've increased the likelihood that all letters are used and thus present, but if you want to edit your single page flyer to announce that there will be free pizza, you might find a missing glyph symbol instead of a 'z'.

What makes certain desktop environments look "ugly" or "outdated" to you? To me, "modern design" means a lot of flattened icons with no gradients or shadows, with a lot of whitespace around text which results in a lot more scrolling.

Here's why I think SteamOS is underrepresented in this survey: They don't follow you, man... I think a lot of Steam Deck users probably just bought it to use it "out-of-the-box" and they don't even consider themselves "Linux users". They don't bother with changing much, they just use it. So they also don't come to channels like this, let alone participate in a survey by one of many content-creators.

The main thing I have seen is that while tech gets faster and bandwidth increases, the increased spying and tracking mean those resources aren't available to the user. My S2 was as fast as my S21 for most tasks.

I believe you should add the age or generation of the CPUs and GPUs in the next survey because I've always believed that Linux users would still use old, like 3rd, 4th, 5th gen Intels for example, moreso than Windows users. AMD taking the lead suggests to me that CPUs are new.

I think that the question about which operating systems people run was missing a crucial option. It assumes that the only operating systems people use are Linux, Windows, and MacOS, which isn't true. I personally regularly use the Linux, FreeBSD, Haiku, and Plan9 operating systems, so options for "Other OS" and "Linux + Other OS" would've been nice. Although I don't expect many to use obscure operating systems like Haiku or Plan9, I would not have been surprised to see BSD's make up at least a full percentage point. I do see that there's the "Multi boot Linux + macOS + Windows + whatever else if anything :)" option, but that option requires me to imply that I have MacOS and Windows installed just so that I can say I have non-Linux/MacOS/Windows operating systems installed, unless I'm misunderstanding something.
